Rooms
Guglielmo’s Room
The wall at the bottom of the room is lined with a Genoese cloth of the 19th century, called “mezzaro”, which is a large printed cotton fabric that women from Liguria used to wear on their heads; this has recently been put back in its place after some restoration works performed thanks to the support of Lions Club Gorizia Host.
On the 18th century bedside table with a peculiar drawer on the side, there is a silver incense boat. Near this there is a walnut trumeau from the 18th century, may be coming from Russia, and a Charles X chair. On the table on the left-hand side there is a small golden, bronze Empire-style clock from Vienna. The five-candle chandelier has a shape of an imaginary animal (a black horse whose hind legs are snake spirals). The hand-shaped wall lights are also very peculiar.
