Francesco’s Room

On the right, above a trumeau from the 18th century, there is the Annunciation by Prospero Fontana (1512-1597) and two genre scenes from the Flemish school of the 17th century. On the next wall there are two large architecture views from Viviano Codazzi school (1604-1670) and two twin tables with two miniature pieces of furniture.

Above the sleight bed from the 19th century, with a yellow silk cover and a late Empire-style bedside table, there is a Madonna by Rosalba Carriera (1675-1757), renowned Venetian painter from the 18th century. Next to the bed, on the Caucasian carpet, there is a portable bidet and a porcelain chamber pot. On the right-hand side of the entrance room, there is a small chest of drawers with a prie-dieu and above it an oil sketch by Giambettino Cignaroli (1706-1770) for the altarpiece of the Miracles of Saint Vicent Ferrer in the  Ferrara Cathedral.
