The Palace

The Palace was built between 1593 and 1598 by Carl Zengraf, formerly Secretary of the Provincial States of Gorizia, who had received civil and criminal jurisdictional powers from the House of Austria over a large area north of Gorizia.

The Park

Created in the late 19th century, following an ambitious urban redevelopment programme aimed at establishing Gorizia as a “garden city”.
